In 2010, researchers from Ancestry.com discovered that President Barack Obama and former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin were actually related to each other. Now, researchers from Ancestry.com have discovered that several of the Republican candidates are related to former United States Presidents. A few years ago, a genealogist for Ancestry.com named Anastasia Tyler discovered that President Barack Obama was distantly related to the former Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin. United States President Barack Obama has Irish ancestry, according to the UK version of Ancestry.com. This discovery comes from research by genealogists. Anytime there is information about the family tree of the President, it seems to make headlines. Genealogists at Ancestry.co.uk traced the descendants of a man named Falmouth Kearney. At the age of nineteen, Mr. Kearney left Ireland and traveled to the United States. He did this sometime during the Potato Famine, so one could assume that he immigrated around 1850 or so. Supreme Court Casts Aside Case About Obama’s Heritage

The Supreme Court has decided to cast aside an appeal to a court case that questions President Obama’s heritage. There has been an ongoing, grass roots movement that has been continually questioning if President Obama is, in fact, a citizen of the United States of America. The appeal that has been turned down was simply the most current one regarding the same issue. This current court case was brought by Charles Kerchner Jr., from Pennsylvania.
