Disney’s Presidents Day Fastpitch Open is being held from February 16 through February 18, 2008, at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. The third in a family of five children, Bonnie Dansie was born on August 4, 1940 to Jesse and Ruth Butikofer Dansie. She grew up in Herriman, Utah, and attended Utah State University. A year after graduating, she met James L. Parkin, and the two were married in 1963 in the Salt Lake Temple. They have four sons. Bonnie served on the Relief Society general board from 1990 to 1994 under Elaine L. Jack, and then was called as second counselor in the Young Women general presidency.
